Your guide to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Sekiro Shadows Dies Twice

We all know that you can play any game you want, but it’s also nice to have those hints and tips that help you to get into it faster and make it more enjoyable. Sekiro can be a tough game to play, and a little help never hurt anyone. So, here’s our guide to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Sekiro can be a very involving game due to its complexity. This is a game that can be frustrating if you let it get to you, but it can also be incredibly entertaining as well. If you really want to get into this game, you really have to give into it and get fully absorbed. This game is not for the type of person that is going to “give it a try” or a few minutes.

First, you need to learn the game’s design. This has been true for just about every game I’ve ever played. A really important thing to understand about any game is to figure out how it works. Now, I’m not saying that if you try hard enough, you’re going to find the game’s “trick” or it’s “loophole”. Games aren’t like the Death Star; there isn’t one supreme weakness that will bring the whole thing down. Developers are usually a little smarter than that.

What you can do, though, is understand how the game actually works. Once you’ve done that and understand what strategy is behind the game, you can figure out the best way to beat it. For Sekiro, don’t worry if you’re defeated the first time. Take advantage of each play and understand what attacks the opponents are going to use against you, and use the best defense against them. Figure out how the levels are designed and discover what advantages that can give you. There has been more than one game where all I needed to win against superior foes was to find a place on the map where I could get my enemies into a bottleneck and defeat only one or two at a time, rather than try to defeat a dozen or more!

That brings us to keeping on the move. This is not a game where you want to stand still for very long. That’s likely to get you killed! Keep in mind that this game is about the attack, so you have to keep moving and keep on the prowl. This is where all that learning from your attackers comes in handy. You have to know what moves your attackers are going to use. That way you’ll know how to defend against their moves and what is the best way to counter them. Parrying is an important part of the game and something that you should keep practicing until you’ve mastered it.

Now, this game won’t leave you in the lurch when you need a bit of aid here and there. There are healing potions and other helpful items you can use in the game to give you an advantage, and you’ll need every one you can get your hands on!

It’s the Mikiri technique, though, that is pretty important in this game. At some point, you’ll notice a red kanji over the wolf’s head. This is a warning to you that your opponent is about to make a powerful strike on you. It’s the low and high level bosses that can make such a hit, and they have three they can use. These are the ones that can take you out of the game, so recognize when one is preparing to use one of these strikes. When you see this occur, be ready to dodge out of the way.

As to the three different kinds of major hits: Number one is to lunge at you. The best defense against this attack is to dodge the attack just before his blade hits the player. The second is the side-kick. This can be avoided with a leap to get out of the way. The final is a throw. You can dodge this one by jumping to the side.

As for the rest of your opponents, you need to remember that they are quick and their punches have a surprising distance. This is something that you’re going to have to watch out for and always be on guard to defend against. You also need to be wary of an enemy’s recovery as they will not stay exhausted for very long. Opponents can also have a considerable number of hit points before they go down, so be careful!

Stealth is something that you don’t want to ignore. It can be incredibly useful to use as a tool against your enemies, and it’s very effective in making you disappear! Just like an RPG, it’s important to explore the area, because of all the useful items you can find like items to increase your health, tools, etc.

You can, and should, buy products from merchants whenever you can. This usually would be something that goes against the save up mentality that most of us have. The issue with Sekiro is that, if you’re killed, you lose half of your money! So, if you see something that you’d like, and you can afford it, then you should go for it in this game. How do you get money? You accomplish this and gain experience by eliminating red opponents in the game.

The player also has the option for resurrection. This is understandably something that you might be hesitant to use, but you really shouldn’t. There are statements made in the game that you’ll be punished for using this option, but it really doesn’t affect anything. Resurrection will also keep half of your money from vanishing out of your wallet as well!

There are artificial limbs in the game that you can use and are supposed to give you an advantage over the enemy. However, this is how it looks on paper and not how it actually works in the game. They’re usually more of a hindrance than a help.

And, that is a few tips for playing Sekiro. I hope it helps!
